Library Overview

The Library is a place where students can come to research, study and do homework. There is access to PCs which have all the programs installed that students will need for their time at Chertsey and are connected to a printer that every student has access to. 

Opening times 

Library Schedule and Student Services from 6th January 2025 (These changes are being made to better align with how the library is currently being used):
â–ª Morning (before school): Open for student services from 8:15am to 8:30am, Monday to Friday.
â–ª Breaktime: Open from 11:00am to 11:30am on Monday, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.
â–ª Lunchtime access:

• Lunch 1 (Y7, Y8, Y9): Open on Mondays, Tuesday, and Wednesdays.
• Lunch 2 (Y10 & Y11): Open on Thursdays and Fridays.

â–ª After-school access: The library will not be open for students after school.
â–ª Year 11 Revision: The Library can be open exclusively for Year 11 students to revise from 3:00pm to 3:45pm during mock and exam periods; this will be communicated to the students by Miss Gardner.

Library closure during lessons: The library will be closed during all timetabled lessons (Tutor, P1 – P5). This change is being made to ensure that students attend their lessons and tutor sessions as required.

Student Services: The front office is the only place where students should be directed if they require first aid at any time. After 8:30am until 3:45pm, the Year Group Co-ordinators will be available to help with uniform, timetables, and any lost items that previously students would have gone to the Library for help with.
