Strategic Priorities 2024 - 2025

Mission

We are proud to be a dynamic organisation which predicts and responds organically to the demands, challenges, and technological developments of life in the 21st century. We will support our children in accessing a curriculum which offers breadth, academic rigour, and opportunity regardless of background or starting point. An education at CHS will enable students to leave as members of the local and global community, equipped with the skills, experience and attributes to succeed in whichever pathway they choose.

Mary Gould, Headteacher

Our priorities for the 24/25 academic year are:

  1. The Inclusive and Adaptive Curriculum - Providing a world-class education for all
  2. Data, Assessment and Analysis - Driving up outcomes for all
  3. Developing and Empowering Leadership - At all levels

Throughout these focus areas run our commitment to embracing Digital Technology, harnessing its potential and equipping our students with skills for the future.

The governing body sets the vision, ethos and strategic direction of the school as well as challenge the capital, educational and financial plans. The Senior Leadership Team has responsibility for the overall running of the school and are accountable to the governing body and the Bourne Education Trust. The school's five-year priorities can be seen below:

The school of choice

  1. Outreach and Engagement: develop effective ties with feeder primary schools and engage parents and the local community through regular events, workshops, and open days to showcase the school's strengths and values.
  2. Student support: implement a student ambassador programme to provide prospective students with insights into school life, and establish a support system to help new students integrate seamlessly into the school.
  3. Communications: regularly seek feedback from parents, students, and staff to identify areas of improvement and build a culture of continuous improvement.

The inclusive curriculum supports high performance

We are synonymous with inclusive high performance:

  1. Curriculum: ensure we have an exciting and flexible curriculum which instils a lifelong love of learning, and which equips students for their future.
  2. Inclusive teaching: provide professional development for teachers on inclusive teaching methodologies and differentiated instruction to cater for diverse learning needs.
  3. Intervention: analyse performance data to identify and address any disparities among different groups of students, ensuring that all students have equal opportunities for success.
